(ĐN)- The Dong Nai province’s Committee for Catholic Solidarity yesterday held a ceremony to review its activities and a get-together on the occasion of Christmas in 2020.

The event was attended by representatives of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, local departments and sectors, and priests and typical followers across the province.
Last year, the committee has assisted Catholic followers in patriotic emulation campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and authorities. Along with that, Catholic followers in the province actively participated in local education development, study encouragement. Particularly, Catholics in Dong Nai mobilized over VND198.8 billion to fund charity and social activities in the locality.
At the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vu Dinh Trung highlighted great contributions made by the Catholics and Protestants to the development of the province. He believes that Catholic followers in the locality will continue to make practical contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.
