On this occasion, the organizers awarded 100 scholarships worth VND2 million each to impoverished students who are studying at high school and junior high school students in the locality.

Addressing at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ton Hoan of Dong Nai Newspaper lauded efforts made by the students to overcome difficulties and achieved good academic performances. He hoped that the annual scholarships would encourage the students to continue learning, overcome challenges and become useful people for society.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of Propaganda and Training Department Pham Tan Linh highly appreciated efforts made by Dong Nai Newspaper in maintaining the scholarship program. He also thanked Thaco and other enterprises for their donation to the program.

Over the past 18 years, the program provided more than 2,000 scholarships totaling VND3.5 billion to help poor students to overcome difficulties to continue their study.
