Having extended his sympathies to local residents over great losses caused by the natural disasters, the delegation presented 400 gifts worth over VND600,000 each to local residents to help them overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, the delegation also visited and gave gifts valued at VND1-2 million each to households in especially difficult circumstances.
According to Chairman Mai Le Thuoc of Ha Tinh provincial Red Cross Association, 17 people in the central region have been listed as dead or missing from storms and floods, which have also caused estimated economic losses of over VND5.3 trillion
