The police also seized hundreds of millions of dong at the scene.
Following the police investigation, Nguyen Thanh Phong, 37, of Bien Hoa City, was identified as the ringleader.
Phong organised gambling events in the forest to avoid attention from the police.
Phong admitted that he hired several local men to guard the areas as well as bringing the gamblers from their home every day. The gamblers would congregate at 3-5pm daily.
The police are investigating the case.
