The meaningful event attracted the participation of more than 700 volunteers who are the company's partners, foreign managers and experts, employees and workers from 60 enterprises operating at Amata industrial park.

Speaking at the event, General Director Surakij Kiatthanakorn stressed that Amata Bien Hoa’s annual event aims to demonstrate the company's social responsibility to the community and received an enthusiastic response from clients and people.

Many hospitals are now facing blood shortages due to falling numbers of blood donors and blood donation events. Fears of COVID-19 infection have discouraged people from participating in blood drives. Therefore, after the COVID-19 epidemic was under control, the company has launched the day to encourage the community to participate in voluntary blood donation to ease the blood shortage.

In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers have made measures to ensure the blood collection and supply with three criteria, including safety for blood donors, safety for patients and safety for medical staff.
The event is expected to collect some 1,000 blood units.
