Earlier, on the evening of May 12, a whirlwind swept through Dinh Quan district, destroying many houses and damaging crops in hamlets 3, 6 and 7 of Phu Tan commune and hamlet 3 of Thanh Son commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, over 30 troops and militiamen were sent to the area to help local people overcome the consequences of the whirlwind.
