(ĐN) - The “rice ATM” was opened in Cam My district on April 25 by Dong Nai provincial Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization and Department of Science and Technology (DoST) to help low-income earners who have suffered economically from the COVID-19 outbreak.
Accordingly, the organizers donated 3 tones of rice for poor households in Thua Duc, Nhan Nghia and Long Giao communes.
The “rice ATM” is set up to give 10 kg of free rice for each person.
At the same day, 100 gifts were also handed over to poor people affected by the COVID-19 in Phu Hoi commune, Nhon Trach district.
So far, more than 700 gifts totaling over VND100 million have been presented to help those in difficulties due to COVID-19 pandemic in Nhon Trach.
