(ĐN) – Dong Nai is now home to more than 164,930 hectares of forest land. The province is striving to raise its forest coverage from the current ratio of 29.1 percent.

In the period of 2015-2019, the province has made many efforts to plant, protect and manage forests with an aim to develop forestry in a sustainable manner.
Accordingly, natural forest area in Dong Nai has increased nearly 2,300 hectares in this period.
In the coming time, the province will continue measures to raise local people's awareness of forest management and protection. Moreover, various activities will be also carried out to highlight the role of forest in preserving the environment, coping with climate change, developing the economy, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty.
