(ĐN)- On January 14, Vinh Cuu district Labour Federation sent a delegation to visit and hand over 100 Tet gifts to disadvantaged laborers and members working at local enterprises.
During the visits, the Federation’s representatives spoke highly of the efforts by the trade unions as well as attention by enterprises to workers and hoped that the work will be multiplied and diversified in the time to come.
On the occasion, Dong Nai health sector’s trade union also held a get-together to present 80 gifts totaling VND40 million to its poor members. At the event, the trade union’s leader hoped that the members would overcome difficulties to implement their tasks to take care of people’s health.
Earlier, Tan Phu district Labor Federation visited and presented 217 gifts worth VND500,000 each to disadvantaged workers and VND3 million each to workers who are suffering from fatal diseases across the locality. According to Chairwoman Ngo Thi Hoi of the Federation, trade unions at all levels will give 4,560 Tet gifts each valued at VND200,000-500,000 to their members with difficult circumstances.
Tan Phu district Labor Federation has so far handed 30 free coach tickets and 220 Tet gifts to poor workers on the occasion of the coming traditional lunar New Year. The act affirms the deep humanity and high sense of social responsibility of trade unions.
