(ĐN)- On January 30, a delegation led by Mayor Heo Seong-gon of the Gimhae city of Gyeongsangnam-do province paid a working visit to Dong Nai. Chairman Cao Tien Dung of the provincial People’s Committee warmly welcomed the delegation.

Addressing at the reception, Dung stressed that Republic of Korea leads among countries and territories investing in Dong Nai with 404 valid projects worth some US$6.6 billion. Dong Nai has been a major destination for investment from the RoK in recent years. The RoK enterprises mainly invested in industrial production and many of them are operating effectively in the province.
Currently, the province is giving priorities to developing transport infrastructure, ports and wharfs. These help to create favorable conditions for businesses to transport goods, reduce costs to increase competitiveness, he added.
He hoped that Dong Nai and Gimhae city would sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in carrying out projects to support the building of the province as a smart urban area.
For his part, Mayor Heo Seong-gon said the Gimhae city is ready to partner with the province in fields of shared interest to bring practical benefits to both sides and contribute to enhance the bilateral ties.
