(ĐN) - Thousands of households in Bien Hoa city escaped poverty, bringing the local poverty rate down to 0.15 percent in 2019, reported the city People’s Committee.
The city’s success in poverty reduction was largely attributed to its efforts to expand sustainable poverty reduction models.
The city has also financially assisted impoverished households to build and repair their houses and given them easier access to soft loans to start or expand their businesses.
Bien Hoa will strive to reduce poor household rate to below 0.15 in 2020
