(ĐN)- To implement the campaign of new-style rural area and civilized urban areas building launched by Dong Nai Fatherland Front Central Committee, Catholic community in Long Thanh district have been active to take part in the campaign.
According to the Committee for Solidarity of Catholics of Long Thanh district, Catholic community had donated money and land for the construction of rural roads and other public infrastructure, with a total investment of more than VND34 billion.
Long Thanh district is home to 23 parishes and 9 orders with nearly 51,000 followers. Over the past years, Catholic followers actively took part in programs and campaigns launched by local authorities.
