(ĐN)- On November 28, Dong Nai Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization organized a ceremony to honor outstanding volunteer blood donors across the province.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep and Vice Chairman of Vietnam Red Cross Tran Quoc Hung attended the event.
At the ceremony, a total of 415 individuals, families and organisations in Dong Nai were honored for donating blood and making contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement.
Among the honoured donors, the family of Vu Thi Diep in Dinh Quan district has donated blood for more than 100 times.
In 2018, about 31,309 people have registered to donate blood and 43,833 units of blood have been collected.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep thanked families, organizations and individuals for their contributions to voluntary blood donations. She hoped that the honored people would continue to be role models and encourage their relatives, friends and colleagues to join them.
