400 scholarships for students with difficult circumstances

(ĐN)- A ceremony was held on November 16 to award 400 scholarships totaling VND440 million to studious poor students in Dong Nai.

(ĐN)- A ceremony was held on November 16 to award 400 scholarships totaling VND440 million to studious poor students in Dong Nai. Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee attended the event.

At the ceremony, junior high school students get scholarships worth VND1 million each and high school students received scholarships valued at VND1.2 million each.

The scholarships are funded by Japanese enterprises, including Ajinomoto VN, Vietnam-Japan Gas, Kureha VN and Quadrille Vera VN.

Over the past years, these enterprises awarded scholarships worth more than VND4.3 billion to over 4,700 students with difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman expressed thank to Japanese enterprises for their donations to poor students and hoped that they would continue help disadvantaged students in the coming time.
