(ĐN)- Dong Nai collected nearly 31,000 blood units since the beginning of this year, fulfilling over 90 percent of the target, according to the provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donations.
In the remaining months of this year, the province will continue efforts to reach set target in 2019.
The province targets to collect 37,000 units of blood in 2020, an increase of 1,000 blood units compared to this year’s figure.
To achieve the target, localities and related agencies will boost communication campaigns on local media to provide people with basic information on blood and the benefits of blood donations, to raise public awareness of the necessity of non-remunerated blood donation and to encourage people to give blood to save lives.
