(ĐN)- The 17th “Overcoming the present difficulties for brilliant future" scholarship awarding ceremony was held on November 22 at Tran Bien Temple of Literature by Dong Nai Newspaper. Vice Chairman Nguyen Son Hung of the provincial People’s Council attended the event.

At the ceremony, the organizers awarded 100 scholarships worth VND2 million each to poor students who are studying at high school and junior high school students in the locality.
Addressing at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ton Hoan of Dong Nai Newspaper lauded efforts made by these students to overcome difficulties and achieved good academic performances. He hoped that the annual scholarships would encourage the students to continue their efforts at school.
On this occasion, he also thanked Truong Hai Auto Company’s leaders for their support over the past ten years to help impoverished students to continue their studies, contributing to local education development.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Son Hung appreciated the contributions made by Dong Nai Newspaper, Thaco and other sponsors to provide scholarships to local poor students, help them to overcome difficulties.
So far, more than 2,400 disadvantaged students received scholarships totaling over VND3.3 billion.
