The Saigon Times Foundation (STF) under the Saigon Times Group joined hands with Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) to provide 27 scholarships for students in Khanh Hoa Province's Nha Trang City and Dong Nai Province on September 6 and 9.
The Saigon Times Foundation (STF) under the Saigon Times Group joined hands with Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) to provide 27 scholarships for students in Khanh Hoa Province’s Nha Trang City and Dong Nai Province on September 6 and 9.
The STF-PNJ scholarships, worth VND60 million in total, were donated to students of Nha Trang University and Dong Nai University at the beginning of the school year to help them pay tuition fees.
PNJ took the occasion to call on students to join the “Green community” program and launch the “Thank you for not littering” program. The company donated waste bins to the schools, organized garbage collecting and tree planting events, and joined forces with the students in raising public awareness of plastic waste reduction.
“PNJ expects to support poor students to continue their schooling and encourage them to become good citizens. This is a corporate social responsibility that the company is always dedicated to and has received great support from the employees,” said Dang Kim Nhu Le, director of the Administration and Human Resource Department for southeastern region at PNJ.
Since it was founded in 2012, the STF-PNJ scholarships program has donated scholarships worth nearly VND1.2 billion to more than 400 students at colleges and universities nationwide.
