(ĐN)- More than 741,000 students across Dong Nai started a new academic year on September 5.
Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee attended a ceremony to begin the new school year at Luong The Vinh high school in Bien Hoa city.

At the ceremony, he awarded certificates of merit of the provincial People’s Committee to teachers for their excellent achievements.
The same day, Standing Deputy Secretary Ho Thanh Son of the provincial Party Committee also attended a similar event at Long Khanh high school where is home to 30 classes with over 1,300 students.
On this occasion, the school awarded 35 scholarships worth VND1 million each to studious poor students and 5 scholarships each valued at US$500 to disadvantaged students.

Chairman Cao Tien Dung of the provincial People’s Committee shared the joy with students at Long Thanh high school and beat the drum to kick-start the new academic year at the school.

Ngo Quyen high school welcomed Vice Chairman Nguyen Son Hung of the provincial People’s Council to its ceremony, while Vice Chairpersons Nguyen Quoc Hung and Nguyen Hoa Hiep attended the events at Xuan Loc and Long Khanh high schools.
