(ĐN)- More than 2,400 cases of smuggling and trade fraud have been uncovered in Dong Nai in the first six months of this year, up 18 percent from the previous year.
Accordingly, the province collected fines of nearly VND415 billion for the state budget.
These statistics were released at a meeting held on July 24 to summarize the results of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transportation of goods across the province in first half of the year.
Tran Van Vinh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, has directed the province’s anti-smuggling forces to step up patrols and control smuggling and trade fraud in the coming time.
