(ĐN)- In the first six months of this year, Dong Nai branch of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies disbursed more than VND435.7 billion for over 17,900 local poor households.
As of June-end, the branch provided nearly VND2,400 billion in loans to 106,000 poor and near-poor families, allowing many of them to escape from poverty.
Currently, the branch is deploying social credit programmes to give priority in lending to poor and near-poor households, students and areas with high rate of poverty. It will continue efforts to accelerate disbursement of loans under social credit programmes, and improve the poor and social policy beneficiaries’ access to preferential capital sources.
