French National Day marked in Dong Nai

The event was attended by French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Vincent Floreani, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Council Nguyen Son Hung and Deputy Head of the provincial Party’s Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education Pham Tan Linh.

Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung highlighted the strong growth of Vietnam-France ties over the past 40 years, adding that France has been investing in 543 projects Vietnam, with total registered capital of US$3.6 billion, and 50 localities in France are deploying their projects in the fields of environment, urban planning, vocational training, French teaching, tourism, culture, etc, in the country.

In Dong Nai alone, French ranks 12 over 47 countries and territories investing in the province with a combine registered capital of US$144.8 million. Dong Nai and two French localities have signed friendship cooperation agreement, he added. In addition, French have been teaching at three schools in province since 2002.

For his part, French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Vincent Floreani thanked for sincere affections of authorities and people in Dong Nai to French, expressing his wish that the traditional friendship between the two countries will develop to the new height, meeting the aspiration of the people in the two countries.

Currently, French investors are also taking their interest in the Long Thanh International Airport project.
