(ĐN)- A ceremony will be held at the beginning of this coming September to award “Chap Canh Uoc Mo” (Giving wings to Your Dreams) scholarship to studious poor students who are martyrs’ children and grandchildren.
According to plan, 62 scholarships worth VND5 million each will be handed to students from primary to high schools in Dong Nai and 36 others valued at VND10 million each will be granted to university students.
Chap Canh Uoc Mo Scholarship Fund is established in 2017 by Ms Tran Cam Nhung, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Long Thanh Golf, with a total value of VND20 billion. It is now managed by the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
Last year, 106 students received the scholarships.
The scholarships aim to help the receivers to overcome difficulties to achieve good results in studying and become good citizens in future, continue uphold the revolutionary tradition of the family, making specific and practical contributions to the local construction and development.
