Tree-planting festival launched to mark Uncle Ho's 129th birthday

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee on May 16 launched a tree-planting festival at 696 Naval Base in Nhon Trach district to mark the 129th birthday of the late President Ho Chi Minh.

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on May 16 launched a tree-planting festival at 696 Naval Base in Nhon Trach district to mark the 129th birthday of the late President Ho Chi Minh.

Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman stressed the importance and practical benefits that tree plantation brings to the locality, families and everyone. He called upon departments, agencies, localities and people to engage in growing trees and forests as well as taking actions against deforestation as part of efforts to protect the environment.

After the launching ceremony, the provincial leaders and participants planted 1,000 trees at the Base 696.
