(ĐN)- On the occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, Trang Bom district’s police launched their community work at Thanh Binh commune between May 18 and 20.
Particularly, the police force presented 20 gifts worth VND1 million each to studious poor students, gave four breeding goats to local households in especially difficult circumstances, handed over nearly VND140 million to upgrade traffic roads, helped locals to clean up the environment.
On this occasion, they also cooperated with HCM city-based Cho Ray Hospital to provide free medical check-ups and medicines to thousand of needy people, offered health insurance cards to poor residents in the community.
Total cost of the program is estimated at more than VND300 million, funded by local policemen and sponsors.
