(ĐN)- On April 14, a ceremony to welcome Chol Chnam Thmay New Year festival was held at Kiri BuPhamAram pagoda in Phu Binh ward, Long Khanh town.
Chol Chnam Thmay is one of the most important festivals of the year for the Khmer community. It usually lasts three days and is celebrated in pagodas.
Earlier, on April 10, the provincial Committee for Ethnic Affairs also made a visit and extended congratulations to the Khmer community in Dinh Quan district on their traditional New Year festival.
On this occasion, the committee presented gifts to poor Khmer households.
