(ĐN) – Dong Nai solved jobs for over 17,000 laborers in the first quarter of this year, fulfilling 21.7 percent of the year’s target.
Particularly, more than 13,000 laborers were recruited to work at private and foreign businesses, over 4,200 people got on-the-spot jobs through the province’s social-economic programs.
In March only, more than 2,000 laid-off workers have been approved to receive unemployment benefits, bringing the figure to over 6,000 since the beginning of this year, a year-on-year increase of 3.9 percent.
The province will strive to generate jobs for 23,000 laborers in the second quarter of this year. Accordingly, Department of Labor, War Invalid and Social Affairs will continue to organize job transaction floors to help workers contract businesses.
