Over VND7.2 bln spent to help AO/dioxin victims

 (ĐN) – In 2018, Dong Nai provincial AO/dioxin Victims Association spent more than VND7.2 billion to take care of local AO/dioxin victims, fulfilling 161 percent of the set plan.

(ĐN) – In 2018, Dong Nai provincial AO/dioxin Victims Association spent more than VND7.2 billion to take care of local AO/dioxin victims, fulfilling 161 percent of the set plan.

Particularly, the association provided functional rehabilitation and no-interest loans to 107 victims to help them develop their production and stabilize their lives, built and repaired 14 charity houses. Moreover, it also gave more than 17,000 gifts, awarded 203 scholarships, offered free vocational training and medical check-ups and medicine to 144 beneficiaries, etc.

Dong Nai is now home to over 5,500 AO victims and they are suffering both physical and mental pains caused by dioxin. The association will continue efforts to offer better support for AO victims in the coming years.
