(ĐN)- As of January 28, Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee raised 63,559 Tet gifts totaling nearly VND26.3 trillion for the poor, according to Chairman Huynh Van Toi.
These gifts were presented to poor and near-poor households, single elderly people, AO/dioxin victims, etc. On this occasion, the committee also mobilized to build two charity houses worth VND100 million, gave 2,700 free coach tickets totaling VND2.7 billion for poor migrant workers to go back home for the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
Chairman Huynh Van Toi also took this occasion to thank enterprises, individuals and sponsors inside and outside the province for their wholehearted and efficient support to bring warm and happy Tet to disadvantaged people. They included Truong Hai Auto, Sonadezi, Dofico, the provincial Military Headquarters, Dong Nai Garment Co., Dong Nai port, Department of Natural Resource and Environment, Long Thanh Golf, etc.
