(ĐN) – Dong Nai Women Union on October 17 held a get-together to mark the 88th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union and Vietnam Women’s Day (October 20).
Vice Chairwomen Nguyen Hoa Hiep of the provincial People’s Committee attended the event.
Over the past time, Dong Nai Women Union has made efforts to unlock potential and creativity of local women in economic development, contributing to raising the public awareness about the role of women in the provincial development and defence.
In the first nine months of this year, the union and its agencies awarded 338 scholarships, handed over 41 charity houses and helped nearly 2,400 members get access to preferential loans to develop household economy.
On this occasion, the union honored 167 typical individuals for their contributions to the union’s movements.
