(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Police Department, 269 traffic accidents occurred in the province in the January-September period, leaving 202 dead and 166 others injured.
The figures represent the increase of 19 accidents and 4 dead against the same period of last year.
The high cases of traffic accidents saw in Bien Hoa city, Long Khanh town and the districts of Thong Nhat, Dinh Quan and Nhon Trach.
In this period, the province saw a railway accident, killing 1 people.
More than 112,500 cases of traffic violations have been discovered and fined for nine months. The fines amounted to a total of over VND34 billion. Some 2,300 vehicles that violated traffic laws were seized.
