(ĐN)- A ceremony to commemorate the 49th death anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (the 21st day of the seventh lunar month) was held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature on August 31.

Attending the ceremony was former Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of Fatherland Front Committee Huynh Van Toi, Head of Department of Propaganda and Training Thai Bao, Head of Department of Public Relations Ho Thanh Son, along with representatives from departments, sectors, localities, organizations and local people.
At the ceremony, the participants offered incense, flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and recalled meaningful memories of the late President’s great contribution to the national revolution.
President Ho Chi Minh, name at birth Nguyen Sinh Cung, was born on May 19, 1890 and passed away on September 2, 1969 (the 21st of the 7th lunar month). In Vietnamese tradition, the death anniversary is commemorated based on the lunar calendar.
