Accordingly, the mobilizing board for establishing the Vietnam-the U.S Friendship Association has 10 members and chaired by Nguyen Duy Anh Tuan, Head of the Research Division under the Faculty of Post-graduate International Relations of Dong Nai University. As scheduled, the first congress of the Vietnam-the U.S Friendship Association of Dong Nai province will be organized after 90 days since its debut.
The friendship association aims to promote mutual understanding, develop friendship, solidarity between people in two countries, between people in Dong Nai and people in the U.S in order to strengthen friendship relations, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Dong Nai has boosted cooperation in economics with two states of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Tin Nghia Corporation has also set up a representative office in Arkansas. Moreover, the province is in the middle of establishing cooperation relations with two other states of the U.S, namely New York and Virginia.
So far, the U.S has invested in 25 projects in Dong Nai with a total investment capital of US$147 million.
