(ĐN)- On June 1, Dong Nai Red Cross Association held a ceremony to review activities during Humanitarian Month.
At the ceremony, the association presented 100 gifts worth VND500,000 each to poor people, policy families and disadvantaged students. On this occasion, the association also donated to build 7 charity houses, provide free medical check-ups and medicines to locals with difficult circumstances, construct a kindergarten in Cam My district.
Chairwoman Do Thi Phuoc Thien of the provincial Red Cross Association said that the association raised donations totaling nearly VND10 billion during the Humanitarian Month.
After the ceremony, the association’s representatives and sponsors visited and presented 40 gifts totaling VND30 million to poor patients at Dong Nai General Hospital and Children Hospital.
