(ĐN)- On May 23, a delegation of the provincial People’s Council had a working session with Xuan Loc district on the implementation of sustainable poverty reduction program in the period of 2015-2018.
Early 2015, the district had 1,952 poor households, accounting for 3.86 percent of total households in the district, and 1,182 near-poor households, making up 2.34 percent.
Thanks to its sustainable poverty reduction strategy, the district no longer has households under the poverty line, achieving the target ahead of schedule.
Speaking at the working session, the delegation praised the district’s achievements in poverty reduction and urged the district to continue to support policies for people living under difficult circumstances and ensure that poverty reduction is sustainable.
