(ĐN)- A new preferential loan for social housing and cheap commercial housing projects will be provided to low-income earners, revolutionary contributors, poor and near-poor households, workers, policemen, soldiers and state employees in Dong Nai.
According to Deputy Director Nguyen Sy Cuong of Dong Nai Bank for Social Policies, Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has recently handed over VND20 billion to provide loans for local residents to buy social housing, upgrade and build their houses with an interest rate of 4.8 percent per year.
The new aid package is under the Government's Decree No. 100/2015 /ND-CP on social housing development and management. Accordingly, the case of purchase, lease or hire purchase of social housing, the maximum loan is 80% of the purchase contract, lease or hire purchase.
In case of new construction or renovation, repair houses, the loan must not exceed 70% of the budget or borrowing scheme and does not exceed 70% of the value of the assets securing loans.
