According to Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the province produces some 1,400 tonnes of garbage every day but only 30 percent of them is incinerated or recycled, and all the remaining is buried.

Currently, there are seven waste treatment zones operating in the province. Deputy Secretary asked departments, agencies and localities to make more efforts to help enterprises put their incineration facilities into operation on schedule, contributing to reduce the amount of waste burial to under 50% by the end of 2018.
