(ĐN)- A meeting was held in Dong Nai on May 25 to review the implementation of poverty reduction work in the period of 2015-2018.
As of April-end, more than 39,000 poor and near-poor households in the locality have been provided with preferential loans for production development. Accordingly, over 16,600 households have escaped poverty.
Currently, Dong Nai has more than 7,000 poor households (according to new criterion), accounting for 0.39 percent of total households in the locality. The province targets to help over 1,600 poor households escape poverty in a sustainable manner by the end of 2018.
