(ĐN)- On April 14, Chairman Huynh Van Toi of Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and congratulated Khmer monks and followers in Dinh Quan district's Thai Hoa pagoda on the occasion of their New Year festival- Chol Chnam Thmay.
Speaking at the visit, Chairman Huynh Van Toi extended greetings to the monks and local Khmer people, wishing them a happy festive season. He also called upon Khmer ethnic compatriots to promote solidarity and coordinate with authorities to overcome setbacks and stabilize their lives.
Chol Chnam Thmay, takes place from the seventh to ninth days of the third lunar month, is one of the most important festivals for the Khmer people.
