(ĐN)- The funeral for former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai who passed away in Ho Chi Minh City on March 17 started at 8am on March 20 at the city’s Thong Nhat Hall.

On March 20, Dong Nai province’s delegation led by Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee paid their last tribute to the former PM. The delegation also included Standing Deputy Secretary Tran Van Tu, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of People’s Committee, Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh, Chairman Huynh Van Toi of Fatherland Front Committee, and the province’s former leaders.
At the funeral, the delegation offered incense and expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of the former Government leader, highlighted Khai’s sacrifices and devotion to the revolutionary course of the Party and nation.

At the same day, leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front and people from localities nationwide also gathered at the Thong Nhat Conventional Hall from early morning to pay their last respect to the former Prime Minister.
