(ĐN)- On March 1, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of the provincial People’s Committee had a working session with related departments, localities and enterprises on reducing the amount of waste burial to under 50% by the end of 2018

According to Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment, only 37 percent of garbage is incinerated or recycled, and all the remaining is buried.

Currently, some enterprises have been building incineration facilities. It is expected that waste burial rate in the province will be cut to under 50 percent when these facilities put into operation by July this year.

At the working session, Vice Chairman asked relevant agencies to make more efforts to put the incineration facilities into operation on schedule, contributing to implement the province’s goal of under 50 percent.
