(ĐN)- 2,754 young people across Dong Nai said goodbye to their families and friends to join the military service in ceremonies held across the province March 7.
A see-off ceremony for the newly-recruited soldiers took place in Bien Hoa city this morning with the attendance of Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee. He gave flowers and encouragement to youths doing the national service in the city.
Similar events were also held in Long Khanh town, Long Thanh, Thong Nhat, Nhon Trach, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, Tan Phu, Cam My, Vinh Cuu and Trang Bom districts at the same day.
Among the selected youths in the locality, twenty-two are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
