President pays tribute to martyrs in Dong Nai

(ĐN) - President Tran Dai Quang on January 30 paid tribute to martyrs at Dong Nai Martyrs Cemetery on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1968 General Offensive and Uprising and Lunar New Year holiday.

He laid wreaths and offered incense at Martyrs Temple and Memorial Area of 164 martyrs who laid down their lives during the Mau Than Offensive in Spring 1968.

During his stay, President Tran Dai Quang visited and presented gifts to martyrs’ families, Vietnamese heroic mothers and a war invalid in Dong Nai.

He affirmed that the caring of martyrs’ families and wounded soldiers is the traditional policy to pay respect to those having rendered services to the nation.

The President hailed the authorities of Dong Nai for efforts to care for martyrs' families, war invalids and revolution contributors through designing and completing preferential policies for them.
