(ĐN)- On the occasion of the 2017 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), Long Thanh district People’s Committee sent a delegation to visit and present 45 gifts worth VND400,000 each to local people with disabilities.
Earlier, Nhon Trach district People’s Committee’s delegation also provided 42 gifts to poor disabled people.
Dinh Quan district has recently organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to 6 gifts to disabled people with specially difficult circumstances. Accordingly, 36 other gifts will be offered to beneficiaries in coming days.
Over the past time, Dong Nai has implemented many policies and action programmes to improve the living standards for this group. Thanks to these, people with disabilities have been provided with social allowances, housing, education, health care, vocational training, employment and preferential loans.
This year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities takes the theme of “Transformation towards Sustainable and Resilient Society for All”.
