More efforts to better care for elderly people

(ĐN) - On December 29, Dong Nai provincial Elderly People Association held a meeting to review its activities in 2017 period and set tasks for 2018.

(ĐN) - On December 29, Dong Nai provincial Elderly People Association held a meeting to review its activities in 2017 period and set tasks for 2018.

Chairman Huynh Van Toi of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee attended the meeting.

In 2017, the association cooperated with related agencies to provide better care for elderly. During action month for elderly, the association and its agencies raised more than 34,000 gifts totaling VND9.6 billion for the elderly

Addressing at the meeting, Chairman Huynh Van Toi highly appreciated efforts made by association and its agencies. He hoped that the association would continue to help its members to develop production, pay more attention to both the material and spiritual life of the elderly, creating healthy and useful playgrounds for them.

On this occasion, the association presented certificates of merit to 27 collectives and 30 individuals for their contributions to its activities and handed over the medal “For the cause of the elderly” of Vietnam Association of the Elderly to 181 excellent members.
