(ĐN)- The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the United Nations Volunteer Program on December 2 held the National Volunteer Award 2017 in Ha Noi.
Seven individuals and eight organizations dedicated to volunteering movements in Vietnam were honored at a ceremony. Among the honorees was Vu Duc Hoa who is student of Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University. Hoa, born in 1995, made a lot of initiative for the community, actively took part in environment protection activities as well as connected others to participate in social charitable activities.
The national volunteer award was launched in October and received 100 nominations. Initiated in 2011 on the occasion of the 10th International Volunteer Day, the annual award is at the national level and is designed to attract attention for volunteers who devote their time and energy to worthwhile cause.
