(ĐN)- Dong Nai is now home to more than 25,300 disabled people, including nearly 19,000 people with severe and extremely severe disabilities, according to Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh of Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
Over the past time, the provincial authorities have been making every effort to provide the best support for local people with disabilities, helping them integrate into the community.
Accordingly, thousands of disable people have benefited from training courses on skills, knowledge, rights and duties.
A great number of people with disabilities have been supported in making their livelihoods and in searching for jobs, thus improving their income and living conditions.
Local authorities said they will continue all necessary work to ensure the disabled people to benefit from social support policies.
