(ĐN)- On Oct 17, the Club for retired women leaders held a get-together to mark the 87th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (October 20).
Over the past time, the club’s members have actively participated in social and charity activities in the locality.
Last year, the members raised and donated more than VND928 million to help poor people, build charity houses, provide free medical check-ups and medicines to needy people in remote areas, and award scholarships to studious poor students.
At the get-together, the Club also called on donations to support central flood-affected victims.
