(ĐN)- Long Khanh town's People's Committee has proposed Dong Nai People's Committee to invest in building a road bypassing Long Khanh town along Highway 1, in a bid to ease traffic congestion as well as reduce traffic flow to the inner town.

Traffic flow to Long Khan town is increasing.

Under the decision approved by the provincial People’s Committee on the program to develop, upgrade urban area of Long Khanh town for the 2016-2020 period, the section of National highway 1 bypassing Long Khanh town is also one of the projects which have priority for investment.

As planned, the 6-km bypass, which starts at Tan Phong intersection through three commues of Xuan tan, bau Sen and Suoi Tre and ends at National Highway 1 in Suoi Tre commune. The project is expected to be constructed under build-transfer (BT) format with a total cost of VND1.2 trillion.

According to the town’s People’s Committee, the bypass will help reduce traffic accidents and meet the demand of developing traffic system in the locality.
