In 2016, Fund for the Poor and Day for the Poor campaign launched by the committee raised more than VND436 billion to build charity houses, award scholarships and provide capital support to needy households.
On this occasion, Chairman Huynh Van Toi of the front continued to call on donations from enterprises, organizations and individuals to Fund for the Poor, contributing to reduce rate of poor households in the province.
At the ceremony, local enterprises donated more than VND4 billion and 20 tones of rice to Fund for the Poor.
