(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai National Traffic Safety Committee, 100 road traffic accidents occurred in province in the first quarter of this year, killing 84 people and injuring 83 others.
In this period, three railway accidents were reported, which claimed 5 lives and left 7 injured. The highest cases of rail accidents, deaths and injuries saw in Bien Hoa city and Trang Bom district.
Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee urged related agencies to make more efforts to ensure traffic safety, deal with “black points” of traffic accidents, and continue to adopt synchronous, drastic and effective measures to curb traffic accidents.
